YOSHIDA MANA

For the first time in Hiroshima, lacquerware and objects were exhibited together in this exhibition.
She studied lacquerware painting after three and a half years of training in Kitakata City, Fukushima Prefecture, and used a technique called 'iron rust painting', which involves heaping up a lacquer paste to paint, in an attempt to express a fusion of lacquer and earth textures.
