ARIYOSHI HIROAKI

Hiroaki Ariyoshi's works seem to peer into a mysterious world where there is no "human presence" and no concept of time. He suppresses his own humanity to the utmost extent on his paintings, and uses small, everyday objects as motifs to faithfully depict his subjects through thorough observation.

This work is a realistic painting that accurately reproduces the light, shadow, texture, color, and details of the work, using a wonderful combination of various art materials such as acrylic, oil paint, pearl, and mica. I believe that many people during the exhibition were able to sense the artist's delicate technique and observational skills from the works.

It was a great honor to be able to hold Ariyoshi's first solo exhibition in Hiroshima. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who visited, supported, and all those involved.
